Join us at WordCamp Philly. See Josh Gellock give a talk on how to add Google Analytics to WordPress websites with Google Tag Manager.
If you’re in the Pittsburgh area, you’re officially invited to join me for another presentation of Going beyond basic SEO with WordPress, this time in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh. This talk will be very similar to the one I delivered at the September 2019 Lehigh Valley WordPress Meetup. The session will be part of the Fall 2019 Mega Meetup, put on by the Pittsburgh WordPress Group. The event will take place from 2 – 7 p.m. on October 19, 2019, at the Code and Supply Warehouse. This will be my first time to this location, and I love coworking spaces, so I’m pretty excited about this meetup.
What’s going to be covered
This talk will be broken up into four sections and focus on the following topics:
- Building SEO-friendly content
- Managing crawling and indexing
- Deploying structured data
- Improving website performance
Because this talk will be WordPress-focused, I’ll be referencing Yoast and the All in One SEO Pack a fair bit. If you use either of those plugins as your SEO solution (and there’s a good chance you do), you might want to explore all of the different sections within the plugin, prior to the talk, just so things feel a little more familiar.
On the topic of familiarity, I think it’s worth pointing out that we won’t be knee-deep in technical concepts, but we also won’t be taking a walk through SEO 101. This talk’s level is somewhere in between those two, so you should have some SEO experience to be able to understand what will be covered. The content of this talk is for people who are already a little familiar with SEO and want to go deeper. If you’re new to SEO and want to be prepared for this talk, I’d be happy to schedule some time you to go over some of the main concepts. Head over to SEO coffee talks to get more information.
